Standard Chargers
These are our budget chargers included in our lowest price deals, 7 kw only untethered.
Plug and play, these are ideal for cars with programmable charging times
and properties with little or no internet connection.
Smart Chargers
These chargers connect to the internet using Wi-Fi, or some can be hard wired
to your router. With the right energy provider all your charging requirements can be met on the cheapest rates, or you can charge as and when you need it.
Benefits of this type of charger are -
If it is outside your property, you can control when it works so only you can use it (or others can if you have given them access)
You can be paid for providing a charging service. Ideal if you own a holiday let or want to make an income from your charging point. Payments will go directly into your bank account, and you can set the tariff.
Types of charger
Type 2 chargers are the most common and cover almost all manufacturers.
Nearly all domestic properties are capable of having a 7 kw charger installed,
giving a maximum charge time on most long-range electric cars from zero battery of 12 hours, average being 8 hours.
Some domestic properties and most commercial and industrial sites are capable of
installing 22 kw chargers, greatly reducing charging time to as little as 4 hours from zero battery.
